lf you have an Arizona tax liability, you can donate up to $938* for married filing jointly or $470* for a single filer and the state of Arizona will give you a dollar-for-dollar refund.

Every dollar you donate goes directly to supporting teen moms in the Phoenix Metro area.

Donations for tax year 2024 can be made through April 15, 2025, or until you file your taxes (whichever comes first).

How the Tax Credit Works

Step 1: Make a donation to YoungLives


Step 2: File Form 321 with your Arizona state taxes (Our Qualifying Charitable Organization code is: 20685 "Young Lives - Arizona")


Step 3: Receive a tax credit for your donation - up to $938 per couple and $470 per single filer
These are increased amounts from last year. 


YoungLives is a Qualifying Charitable Organization. This means that you can participate in this tax credit IN ADDITION TO the private and public school tax credits.

Q: What is the difference between a tax credit and a tax deduction?

A: A tax deduction may reduce your tax bill by a percentage of what you donated, depending upon your tax bracket and amount of deductions. A tax credit comes off the top of your state tax bill, lowering the amount of money that you must pay - dollar for dollar. 

Q: Is this the same as the School and Foster Care Tax Credits? 

A. This is a similar credit, but taxpayers are able to take advantage of ALL THREE opportunities! 

Q: What happens if I don't owe taxes at the end of the year? 

A: This tax credit reduces your state tax liability and is not impacted by your tax withholdings during the year. If you withheld more than you owed, the credit will increase your state tax refund.
